Project Life: May 17 – 23, 2010

Hello friends! Another installment of Project Life Tuesday. Click the Project Life button over on my sidebar to check out more Project Life scrapbookers links.

Monday, May 17, 2010 – Keeping my best friend's sweet baby girl for a bit.

Tuesday, May 18, 2010 – My sweet girl. She turned 6 years old on May 23.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010 – The youth at our church are doing something called Tribes this summer. It's going to be fun. Kind of a take-off on Survivor.

Thursday, May 20, 2010 – My daddy arrived back in Alabama from Iraq on Wednesday night, but we didn't tell the Squirt. We surprised him at school instead. He was so happy to see his Pop. You can see the video here.

Friday, May 21, 2010 – I went to Birmingham to have lunch with some Alabama bloggers at the historic Irondale Cafe.

Saturday, May 22, 2010 – We spent the afternoon at the lake. Saw these baby ducks with their mama.

Sunday, May 24, 2010 – Spent another afternoon at the lake tubing Squirt and a friend.

Project Life – March 5 – 11, 2010

Hello! Another Project Life Tuesday. If your new to my blog Project Life is a 365/photo a day project. Each week I share the photos from the previous week. Jessica Turner started Project Life Tuesdays and I of course had to play along.

Monday, April 5, 2010 – Kiddo finishing up his latest painting at art lessons. I’ll share the completed piece soon.

Tuesday, April 6, 2010 – My sweet chocolate lab. She’s favoring her hip that she injured as a puppy so I haven’t been able to take her with me on my 3 miles walks each day. I miss having her with me on them.

Wednesday, April 7, 2010 – The beautiful Wisteria is blooming all over our town. It may mean allergies to some, but I never tire of seeing it when it suddenly blooms each Spring.

Thursday, April 8, 2010 – After starting over several times I seem to have hit a groove with my first knitting project. Looking forward to finishing this little dishcloth and maybe starting on a scarf for next winter.

Friday, April 9, 2010 – I looked out the kitchen window to see our kitten on top of the swingset. It didn’t surprise me in the least if you remember the photo from this week.

Saturday, April 10, 2010 – The traveling fair was in town. Every year for the past few years I tell myself I’m going to get a photo of the ferris wheel all lit up at night. So this year I took my tripod, luckily found a decent parking spot and set up my camera and played around with it for a little while.

Sunday, April 11, 2010 – The lake is so peaceful during these Spring days before the summer crowds arrive.

What a Week!

Last Sunday evening I came down with some sort of sinus crud. I felt awful for most of this past week managing to do what was just necessary. What a great way to start out the first full week of the new year! But I am feeling so much better now.

So that explains my abscense from the blog. Other than that though it was a good week all in all. So here are a few of my photos of the day. I'll be back this week with some scrapbooking I've done as well as a book review.

Monday, January 4, 2010 – Trying a cup of hot green tea sweetened with honey.

Tuesday, January 5, 2010 – My Project Life kit from Becky Higgins arrived! So excited to have an album that I can easily set up for all these photos of the day I'm taking in 2010. I've already got the weekly headers and half of the journal cards put in the album. It will be so much easier to keep up with it once I have them all in there.

Wednesday, Janury 6, 2010 – I have to say this has been the coldest January I can remember in ages.  Our temps dropped way below freezing for several days in a row and we rarely made it out of the mid 30s during the day time. So we decided to check out another one of the fountains in town. So, so cool.

Thursday, January 7, 2010 – Alabama won the National Championship making for some very happy people in our family.

Friday, January 8, 2010 – We were supposed to get snow Thursday afternoon, but it sort of fizzled out on us. It did bring a bit of rain that turned to ice by the time we woke up Friday morning to a 16 degree temp. Ice speckled the slide, but thankfully not the roads.

Saturday, January 9, 2010 – Freezing my fingers off in my scraproom trying to prepare for a Stampin' Up workshop. It used to be a raised patio, but the previous owners enclosed it without venting it. Usually not such a big deal with my little space heater, but when the temps drop into the teens and 20s it's really hard for even my space heater to heat the room up.

Sunday, January 10, 2010 – Squirt with the crazy kitten.

So that's all for now. Thanks for stopping by and I'll be back soon!

Goodbye 2009

Catching up on my photos of the day for the end of 2009.

Thursday, December 24, 2009 – Santa came. There's nothing quite as magical as enjoying the Christmas tree after Santa has come with only the lights of the tree to illuminate the room.

Friday, December 25, 2009 – Christmas morning!

Saturday, December 26, 2009 – My sister opening her gift.

Sunday, December 27, 2009 – So cold, but so happy we have a fireplace.

Monday, December 28, 2009 – Afternoon moon.

Tuesday, December 29, 2009 – Working on my December Daily album, making a mess.

Wednesday, December 30, 2009 – Our cat socks decided he wanted to be rocked and hopped up into hubby's lap.

Thursday, December 31, 2009 – Found the kitten curled up in the beanbag snoozing away.

Neglected

My poor neglected blog. December is crazy busy for some reason. Probably because I let it get busy. Not really with things to do, but I like making some of the gifts we give and between photography orders and subbing I'm behind on my gift making and blogging. But I'll get it done. I always do. I seem to work better when I'm on a deadline.

But for now I'll catch up with my photos of the day so my sister will stop calling me a slacker. Must be a slow week at work.

Monday, November 30, 2009 – Taking photos all day for my "Day in the Life" layout for the Ali Edwards workshop I'm taking at Big Picture Scrapbooking. Seeing squirt practicing always makes me smile.

Tuesday, December 1, 2009 – I was up before the sunrise and so glad I was. Look at those gorgeous colors.

Wednesday, December 2, 2009 – Meet "Rob", our elf on the shelf. He made a mess of the cookbooks on the baker's rack during the night.

Thursday, December 3, 2009 – Squirt hanging his annual ornament on the tree.

Friday, December 4, 2009 – Self portrait. Love this Christmas tee I found at Target. One of the ladies in the office at school showed up with it on also.

Saturday, December 5, 2009 – Alabama wins the SEC championship against Florida. Sweet.

Sunday, December 6, 2009 – A new nutcracker. Appropriate don't you think?

Monday, December 7, 2009 – Another day of subbing at school. Third day with the same kids.

Tuesday, December 8, 2009 – Christmas cards go postal.

Wednesday, December 9, 2009 – If electricity didn't cost so much I think our yard would look like the Griswald's.

Thursday, December 10, 2009 – Starting a week of self portraits or photos of me to use on the layout for Ali Edwards' Big Picture Scrapbooking workshop. I'll probably be sick of seeing photos of me by the time the week is up.

Friday, December 11, 2009 – Having fun and crafting with friends at a crop in Birmingham.

Saturday, December 12, 2009 – A stop by Books-a-Million while in Montgomery to see A Christmas Story at ASF.  Another photo of me for the above mentioned scrapbook page thanks to the kiddo.

Sunday, December 13, 2009 – Still finding the kitten in crazy places like my bathroom sink.

Monday, December 14, 2009 – Another photo of me thanks to the squirt. Starting a new oil pastel at art lessons.

Tuesday, December 15, 2009 – Enjoying Christmas music as I work.

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 – Me and sweet L. She's growing so fast. She really does love me so I'm not sure what that sour look on her face was all about. Last photo of me for my scrapbook page. Thank goodness. Some photos of me I like, but when kiddo is the only one who can help and the vantage point is looking up at me it's not quite as flattering.

Thursday, December 17, 2009 – Squirt's class made gingerbread houses at school. The kitchen now smells like an overdose of sugar.

Friday, December 18, 2009 – Christmas is officially here. My friend M brought me my yearly plate of peanut butter chocolate balls. My favorite treat of the season. I'm having to give myself a time out from them as I type before I eat them all and have none left for the weekend.
