Hello friends!! Thank you for stopping by for my 1000th blog post! It's just fitting that this celebration lands in February between my son's and my birthdays.
When I started my blog back in 2006 it was because other scrapbookers were doing it and I wanted to share my scrapping with others. Now over 3 years later it's become more than just a scrapbooking blog for me.
Of course I still enjoy sharing my scrapping and papercrafting, but also about books, art, photography, parenthood, faith and our life.
The last, our life, having become even more important in the past 9 months. My dad, also known as Pop to Squirt, has been on active duty overseas with his National Guard unit. His last year before retirement. Blogging has been a great way for him to keep up with what's going on with us, but especially his beloved grandson. Although he is able to call every couple of weeks, seeing photos of Squirt has allowed him to catch a glimpse of how his favorite grandson is growing. (Don't think he chooses favorites. Squirt is his only grandson.)
And most of all I want to say thank you to those of you who stop by my little spot in the blogosphere. I'm not one who constantly checks stats. I don't even have sponsors or ads on my blog yet. And while I blog for me, because I love to write and document our life and share the things that interest me, I am always incredibly grateful for those who take their time to visit and read this little blog.

Today's giveaway is a CD I am really enjoying right now. I am blessed each Sunday to hear John Claybrook play and sing in our praise team at church. Masterpiece is his first album independently released in 2007. After downloading it from iTunes last Fall these are some of the first songs I find on my IPod on my walks each day. Filled with great worship songs as well as upbeat ones, John describes the album as "a collection of songs inspired by our daily walk with Christ."
