New York City – Day 5 – Central Park

Thursday of our New York trip we awoke to frigid temperatures.  We took off to Central Park for a cold stroll through a small part of the park.  Central Park is about 50 blocks long so we decided not to explore the entire park.  We found Wollman rink and there were quite a few skaters out enjoying the blue sky on that crisp morning.

I do wish we had found the Bethesda Terrace & Fountain, but we didn’t traverse that far north in the park. It was enjoyable seeing  Central Park blanketed in snow. I would love to see  it in late spring when the grass is green and the trees and flowers are in bloom.

I did get some nice photos though. The bridges are quite interesting. I believe this first one is Gapstow Bridge. And I’m wondering if it’s the one my sister is walking over in the next photo.
