Another week of Project Life. If you're stopping by from Jessica Turner's blog thank you! If not be sure and check her blog for more link ups of Project Life.
Monday, July 5, 2010 – Hubby had the day off since the 4th was on Sunday and of course when we went to the lake Squirt wanted to go tubing. Thankfully he never expects me to tube.
Tuesday, July 6, 2010 – Squirt worked on building one of the woodworking kits he gets in the mail. My parents gave it to him as part of a gift and he gets one kit a month.
Wednesday, July 7, 2010 – Squirt participated in every day of the junior golf clinic and received a free private lesson from the assistant pro. He'd been asking for 2 weeks when he would get to do his lesson and today was the day. He really found his love of golf this summer.
Thursday, July 8, 2010 – We met a bunch of friends at a mexican restaurant to surprise her for her 40th birthday tonight.
Friday, July 9, 2010 – Squirt's imagination is always on the go. He wanted to go spend the night with his grandparents and this time I made him pack his own bag. He didn't grab one of his backpacks, but instead got a plastic sack (which I have very few left of) and put his things in it. He then had the idea to pretend to be a hobo while waiting to leave. Never a dull moment.
Saturday, July 10, 2010 – Squirt and I went to see Karate Kid. We thought it was a good movie. Not going to compare it to the original, but I think changing the setting helped it from being compared to the first one. With about 20 minutes left in the movie I felt something dripping on my head. The roof was leaking right on top of me. I had to move and sit on the stairs since there wasn't somewhere good I could move me and Squirt without disrupting the other viewers. As soon as it was over I went to the manager to inform him and he offered to give me my money back and he also gave me free passes to any future movie.
Sunday, July 11, 2010 – Our little hummingbirds have finally returned to us. I don't think we were putting enough sugar in the feeders before. We have 2 who visit us. One is black with a red chest. I sat with my camera as still as I could waiting to get some photos of them. These aren't the best since my zoom lens isn't the sharpest lens after 13 years, but it reminds me of how fast hummingbirds are. Even with the one sitting on the crepe myrtle I still had a hard time getting a sharp focus. So two photos for today.
