Project Life Tuesday – June 15, 2010

I’m finally back and catching up with my Project Life/photo-a-day project. I’ve missed 2 or 3 weeks I think. Wow. Catching up has taken awhile. Going to do my best not to get this far behind again. So here we go.

Monday, May 24, 2010 – One of my photos was chosen for the cover of the Birmingham Botanical Gardens member magazine. Probably my first and only cover but I’m okay with that. I meant to take a photo of my DH today since it was his 38th birthday, but it’s sometimes a chore to get him in front of the camera.

Tuesday, May 25, 2010 – Caught this squirrel on top of one of my shepherd’s hook with my bird feeder. He never did figure out how to get to the bird food.

Wednesday, May 26, 2010 – I’m taking photos of our youth group at church on Wednesday night as they participate in something called “Tribes“. They are broken into groups and compete in games and are having a great time this summer. Faces are blurred since these are not my children.

Friday, May 28, 2010 – My dad has put back up his hummingbird feeders. My mom didn’t keep them up while he was in Iraq. The hummingbirds came right back even after the feeders were gone for a year. He loves his hummingbirds.

Monday, May 31, 2010 – My in-laws neighbors at their lake house bought them this face for a tree with an Alabama hat. They put it up while my in-laws were out of town at a wedding with an Auburn hat as a joke, but of course that didn’t stay up very long and they gave them the Alabama hat for it. The face is kind of creepy when you first walk up, but it’s definitely funny.

Tuesday, June 1, 2010 – Cut some hydrangeas from my in-laws yard to enjoy in my kitchen. The hydrangeas have been so pretty this year.

Wednesday, June 2, 2010 – My begonias on my porch have done so well this year. They are so hardy and easy to grow.

Saturday, June 5, 2010 – On the way back from a birthday party down at the lake I stopped at a local market to pick up some fresh fish and they were having a nature presentation outside about turtles. Of course Squirt had to listen.

Saturday, June 5, 2010 – Since I missed a photo for Sunday, June 6, 2010 I decided to share another I took on Saturday of this mama duck with her little babies.

Monday, June 7, 2010 – Our first day of Vacation Bible School. I’ve been taking the children’s individual photos for several years now to use in the frame they make in crafts. This year’s theme was a cowboy/ranch theme so what better than a saddle to use for their pics. Amazingly my Squirt didn’t fuss about having his photo taken.

Tuesday, June 8, 2010 – The other days of bible school I spend my time taking snapshots to use in a slideshow they present to the parents on the last day.

Wednesday, June 9, 2010 – Squirt and some friends swam at the in-laws pool after bible school for a couple of hours.

Friday, June 11, 2010 – We always take a huge group photo of everyone who attended bible school. That will be my photo for the day, but I’m not posting it here considering for privacy purposes.

Saturday, June 12, 2010 – Over the past few months I’ve transistioned to reusable shopping bags. It took me a while to remember to get them out of the van and take them in with me, but it has finally become a habit.

Sunday, June 13, 2010 – I bought some seeds at Target back in the Spring and planted them in a pot. I can’t believe they’ve actually grown. I’ve never been able to grow anything from seeds. Now if they will just bloom I’ll call it a miracle.
