This Is Me

Thanks so much for taking a moment to visit me here. The world is full of a lot of noise these days and my prayer is you will find encouragement here and not just more noise.

I’m Amy and I love helping others learn to thrive body, mind, and spirit and guiding them to uncover the essence of who God created them to be and discover the gifts He has given them. I’m a certified Enneagram coach and Young Living Brand Partner.

I’m a wife, a mom, a maker, a reader, a porch sitter, an introvert, and lover of sunrises and sunsets. My hair started turning grey when I was 22 and I have never wanted to color it. I love it even though some times people think I’m older than 40-something. I get compliments on it all the time from strangers. I’ve always felt like I had an old soul and this is just God’s way of confirming it.

I’m a believer that if we are to find the true essence of who God created us to be and the passions and gifts God graces us with, we must practice silence, solitude, stillness, and Sabbath so we can hear His voice. God is always with us, but we have to stop and be present in the NOW to know and feel His presence.

I believe when we slow down and take in nature and God’s creation we are touching the divine. There’s almost nothing better than sitting quietly outside, taking in the flowers on an autumn-like afternoon listening to the birds sing and the hummingbirds flitting around.

Whether it’s painting, card making, scrapbooking or writing, I’m most at peace when I’m making and creating something.

If I could tell my 19 year old self anything, it would be to major in psychology instead of English because understanding what makes people tick, helping them understand why they do what they do, and helping them discover the gifts, talents, and abilities God gives them, will end up fascinating you and become your passion. It makes you sparkle. It makes your heart sing.

Kiane is my middle name. Pronounced like the “cayenne” pepper. It’s a long story of how my parents landed on that as my middle name, but it fits me and I’ve always loved it. I decided to go by Amy Kiane on my socials because it was unique. I never quite felt like I fit in growing up, but I’ve always appreciated my uniqueness including my middle name. I still don’t feel like I fit in most days, but I don’t feel like I need to either.  I am so grateful for my inner circle of closet friends who understand me. They support and encourage me and love me just the way I am.

While those are all hats I wear, roles I play, and things I do and believe,  first and foremost I am a beloved child of God, created to be an image of His goodness, joy, and creativity to the world. I’m not perfect, and I’m sure I fall
short of this every day, but my hope and prayer is that I can help those in my world understand that God loves them and that He created them with an essence underneath their personality that shows Himself to the world, and that He gave them amazing gifts He wants them to share with the world.

I hope you will find something here that will encourage you in your journey and remind you that you are meant to thrive body, mind, and spirit because my friend, God has redeemed you, he has called you by name and you are His. And because you are His, you are ordinarily extraordinary.

“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine.” ‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭43:1‬ ‭NRSV‬‬

“The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you; in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
but will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17 NIV
