Squirt's school has a wonderful science enrichment teacher. This class is called Quest and Mrs. G the teacher prepares such wonderful activities for them. This latest one I couldn't help but share with you all. It's super simple and requires only a minimum of supplies.
This balancing clown helps the children understand more about center of gravity and how it helps them balance. I found a great explanation of it here and it also has another experiment kids can do. Definitely going to explore that site a bit more also.
Squirt and his classmates colored these clowns then cut them out. They taped them to a craft stick with on each side wrapped around washers. You can balance the clown by the craft stick on pretty much anything. Bend the wire and do it another way.
