…even though I feel like I have.
Wow the past week has been busy. Last Friday we went up to my parents'. I had a couple of Stampin' Up workshops up there and DH went to help my sister do a few things around my parents' house. We came back Sunday afternoon and I headed to a photo session. Monday dawned with too much to do around the house most of which I still haven't managed to get done. Tuesday was Mom's day at school and then I headed to the hospital to wait with DH while his dad had knee surgery. The rest of the week was spent at school substituting.
Oh and the rain. Oh. My. Word. Ditches are overflowing and the ground is saturated. I think last Sunday, the day of my photo session, was the only day without rain for the past week or longer and I'm not sure we'll have much of a break for a few more days.
Now for my photos of the day plus some extras.
Friday, September 11, 2009 – All the rain has caused a lot of mushrooms to appear in my parents' yard.
Saturday, September 12, 2009 – It was actually a pretty dry day up at my parents' with some sunshine that morning. Squirt went out to enjoy the fleeting sunshine and drew with some sidewalk chalk while our sweet girl kept an eye on him.
I mentioned mushrooms before. These funny little mushrooms kept popping up in my parents' yard. They looked like tomatoes on sticks before they opened up.
Sunday, September 13, 2009 – This is what the above mushrooms looked like the next day when they opened up.
Monday, September 14, 2009 – We should have names the kitten Oscar. I pulled him out of the garbage at least 5 times Monday. I've lost count how many times I've pulled him out of the garbage this week.
Tuesday, September 15, 2009 – More clouds bringing more rain.
Wednesday, September 16, 2009 – Placing the orders from my 3 Stampin' Up workshops I had between Friday and Monday.
Thursday, September 17, 2009 – More rain. Torential downpour would be an appropriate description although I didn't venture outside once it got too heavy, but the rain falling off the roof our house seems to be a common sight.
September 18, 2009 – The boys went to the football game and I realized I had not slowed down long enough to take my photo for the day so I decided to play with my flash. I'm not the strongest when it comes to using my flash so I thought I'd practice a bit. Not much of a subject, but I do love my living room and I do plan on doing a mini album documenting things about our home.
So that catches things up. Really praying the rain moves on out soon. I need some sunshine.
