I WANT TO SEE

I want to SEE.

I want to SEE my world around me with child-like eyes. SEE the wonder in the most ordinary things. SEE the amazing in the most ordinary events.

I want to SEE past the frustrations of parenting a child. SEE the incredible person God has created my child to become.

I want to SEE past my fear of failing and try new things. SEE past my fear of not being good enough. SEE that I need not be everything that everyone else wants me to be. SEE past my self-doubt. SEE that I am talented and just be the creative being God created me to become.

I want to SEE my life, family, and world in all the brilliant, dim, subtle, and rich shades of colors that truly living life brings.

I want to SEE.

I wrote this in response to the challenge from Ali Edwards in her weekly newsletter.  This week your challenge is to create something, anything, that celebrates your chosen word for 2007. Maybe a layout. Maybe a blog posting or a journal entry or a simple post-it note that you put somewhere you can see it each day. Make sure to journal about why you chose your word and what it means for you – the more you let yourself explore the more benefit you will receive in the end.”
I’m definitely going to be doing a scrapbook page using this as the journaling. I like how Ali said she’s doing this each January – choosing a word for the year. Thinking about doing a mini album around this word and maybe adding to it at the beginning of each year.
