Last week on the second snow day I opened the front door to see this cardinal flying across our yard. Of course I grabbed my camera. I cropped in when editing to see it better. Later that afternoon I saw either this same cardinal or another one as I was looking out the kitchen window.
Some believe that when a cardinal appears it is a loved one who has passed away visiting you. The Cherokees believed that when you see a cardinal flying toward the sun it is good luck. I don’t believe in superstitions, but I did love seeing these beautiful little creatures on our snow day.
